INTERCONTINENTAL Hotels Group has opened its first Holiday Inn hotel in Queenstown following the conversion of the former Goldridge Resort.
The multi-million-dollar refurbishment sees an upgrade to all 75 rooms – with potential for 50 rooms to be added in 2017 – and other amenities include a fully-furnished deck with BBQ facilities, a bar and restaurant with lake and mountain views, tennis courts, and a sauna.
“We are excited to welcome Holiday Inn Queenstown Frankton Road to the Holiday Inn family,” says IHG’s COO in Australia and Japan Karin Sheppard.
“At Holiday Inn, we want to help our guests to do more of what they love when they travel, and that’s just what this hotel will enable, and we are proud to offer guests a comfortable and convenient stay during their time in one of New Zealand’s most-loved destinations.”
