TRAVELMARVEL is taking bookings for an new seven-day tour that visits Lake Eyre (above) in flood at the innovative Field of Light installation at Uluru.

The guided Lake Eyre & the Red Centre itinerary, priced from $3595 per person twin share, journeys between Adelaide and Uluru with the tour company offering five departure in May and June.

The schedule includes two nights each at the Wilpena Pound Resort (below), Coober Pedy’s Desert Cave Resort, and Uluru’s Desert Gardens Hotel with 14 meals, a scenic flight over Lake Eyre, airport transfers, and the services of a Travelmarvel guide part of the price.

“The tour is designed to give travellers the chance to experience Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre in full flood following this year’s significant rainfalls,” a media release about the itinerary explains.

“Additional highlights include the opportunity to explore the Flinders Ranges National Park and experience the iconic Uluru, taking a base walk and visiting the rock domes of Kata Tjuta.

“At Uluru guests will also experience the new Field of Light art installation (below) by Bruce Munro, featuring more than 50,000 stems crowned with frosted-glass spheres that bloom as darkness falls.”
