SINGAPORE’S Crowne Plaza Changi Airport has unveiled a new wing that will increase capacity at the award-winning hotel by 75 per cent.
There are two room categories in the 10-storey extension – business king suites at 28sq/m and the 38sq/m business twin suites – with all chambers in the 243-room wing “furnished with thoughtful touches to meet the needs of today’s modern business traveller“.
Guestrooms include USB charging ports, complimentary wireless internet, a writing desk with an ergonomic Herman Miller chair, and wireless document printing as well as a “mobile handy phone” with complimentary local and IDD calls.
The smart interior design elements seen in the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport’s original wing is continued in the new addition with polymer dispersed liquid crystal film-enabled switchable privacy smart glass panels separating the bedroom and bathroom, free-standing shower and separate bathtub, bathroom amenities by Orla Kiely, and day curtains complimented by blackout blinds for daytime sleeping.
“(The hotel’s) strategic location and seamless connectivity to Changi Airport perfectly caters to transiting passengers, while its proximity to nearby business parks makes it a suitable choice for business travellers,” says IHG’s boss of operations in South-East Asia Leanne Harwood.
