MARQUIS COMES TO SHANGHAI
SHANGHAI is now home to a JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong with the latest addition to the luxury label opening earlier this month.
The 39-storey tower, sitting near the Huangpu River and is close to the city’s Lujiazui central business district, has 515 guest rooms and suites as well as four dining outlets, fitness centre, spa, and heated indoor infinity swimming pool.

The guest rooms are described as “modern meets classic” and promise the latest amenities —Simmons mattresses, 55-inch Samsung flat-screen TVs, surround sound systems, Nespresso coffee machines — that cater to the needs of both business and leisure travellers.
“For years Shanghai has been deemed one of the most iconic cities in China, and in the world, drawing in luxury travellers of different backgrounds that call for premium hospitality and personalised service,” says Henry Lee, Marriott International’s managing director for Greater China.

“We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong, as it stands not only for the latest milestone in the expansion of the JW Marriott luxury portfolio in China, but a new chapter for exceptional programs we’re bringing to China’s luxury travellers.”
The Shanghai address is the world’s fourth JW Marriott Marquis hotel with the others located in Miami, Dubai and Doha.
